Hours and Policies

We try our best to accommodate our patients as much as possible when scheduling appointments. We have found that children with extensive dental work or preschool children are better to be seen early in the morning when they are fresher and can have a more positive experience.

We are available by phone Monday-Thursday.

We request 24-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment.  We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an  appointment, but we ask for your help as a courtesy to all of our families.

We accept most insurance. We accept Medicaid/TNCare only with referrals from General Dentists. Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary greatly, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts.  Your estimated patient portion must be paid at the time of service. As a service to our patients, we will bill your insurance.

Our mission is to provide affordable,

top-quality treatment.

We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs such as Medicaid, Visa, MasterCard, and CareCredit. We thoroughly explain your options, so that we can accommodate your financial situation.

Our courteous team is always available for questions at 731.664.0080.

Our first visit is as easy as

a day at the beach!

Getting to know Dr. Williams, Dr. McCarter and their team will be a fun and enjoyable experience for you, your child, and us. We will review your child’s history, and make sure you are comfortable with our procedures and staff. Below are several questions that you may have before your first visit.

  • What should I bring to my first visit?

On your first visit to our office, please bring your insurance card and our office forms  already completed. Login to our patient portal to fill them out.

Your insurance determines your deductible. Any amount not covered by your insurance will be due that day.

  • Do you accept insurance?

We participate in Medicaid and will bill all other insurance programs. We will do our best to let you know the amount of your co-pay ahead of time.

  • What can I expect to pay for my child’s visit?

We would be happy to discuss fees and insurance with parents prior to the first visit in our office.  Our receptionists will discuss this with you, and answer any questions you may have prior to making your first appointment.

Your insurance may cover a portion of our services. We accept all major credit cards as well as Care Credit.

  • My child has special healthcare needs.

    Can you help us?

The extra years of training that pediatric dentists complete includes training in the care of children and adults with special needs. In addition, pediatric dental offices are designed to be accessible for special needs patients.

  • We have several children and scheduling is important to us. Do you run on time, and will you see all my children at once?

Seeing several children in one family at the same time is never a problem for our staff.  We know that our parents have busy schedules, and we do our best to stay on schedule at all times.

  • How can I schedule a visit with Dr. Williams & Dr. McCarter?

Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Williams and Dr. McCarter are a pediatric dentists, they specialize in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training, experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist is uniquely qualified to treat the dental needs of infants, children, adolescents and those with special healthcare needs.

Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?

A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These needs may include orthodontics, dental sealants, fluoride applications or home treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and parent education.

We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their ”cavities fixed” but rather to prevent them. Our mission is to provide all of the educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.

Our Services:

Preventive Oral Hygiene Instruction:

This includes proper brushing, flossing and eating habits, ideal fluoride levels and the use of pit and fissure sealants. We strive to provide a fun, educational environment where children learn about the importance of good dental hygiene.

Restorative Dentistry:

This includes children’s fillings, crowns and prosthesis, including treatment of the often devastating nursing bottle decay.  Our doctors are committed to discussing all options before these procedures and answering all questions you may have.  Always working for the goal of a healthy smile is their priority.

Growth and Development & Braces:

As pediatric dental specialists, Dr. Williams and Dr. McCarter are experts on the growth and development of children’s dentition, jaws and craniofacial structures. Our doctors’ young smile evaluation may provide your child with a more positive experience should they need orthodontic treatment.
